The workshop was attended by 30 participants from 15 grassroots civil society organisations across Chhattisgarh. He facilitated two sessions—one focusing on the background of Community Forest Rights and the other on initiating the Community Forest Resource Management Plan (CFRMP) at the village level. The sessions highlighted key challenges and potential opportunities to take the CFRMP process forward.
He also explained various government schemes and provisions that can support the implementation of CFRMP, particularly DAJGUA and Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) allocations, to be accessed through Gram Sabhas. In addition, he presented good practices and examples from villages in Bastar that are actively implementing CFRMP with support from ATREE.
