Training of MP State-level FRA Master Trainers in Bhopal

The Department of Tribal Welfare, Madhya Pradesh, organized Training of Trainers (ToT) for FRA master trainers. Dr. Sharad Lele, as a member of the state FRA Task Force, conducted sessions on the background to and provisions of the FRA, the process for making claims for Community Forest Resource Rights, and the use of web-GIS in understanding the forest administrative terrain. Shri Milind Thatte, another member of the Task Force, conducted the sessions on FAQs and the approach to training. Forty master trainers were trained, including Mohit Mahajan from ATREE’s CFR team. The master trainers will provide training to Sub-Division Level Committees in all districts of MP.
