Training for volunteers of Prakriti Seva Sansthan on CFR Claim-making Process, Karanjiya (MP)

ATREE’s Baiga Chak team conducted a one-day training on 2 June 2024 for Prakriti Seva Sansthan volunteers in Karanjiya Block, Dindori district. Around 28 participants participated in the training. The training took place at Upka Sthan, the origin of the Budhmer River. Sessions covered the Forest Rights Act, differences between Community Rights and Community Forest Resource Rights, and local forest struggles. Participants learned the CFR claim process, common mistakes, and necessary document templates. The training concluded with village-wise planning to help Forest Rights Committees initiate CFR claims.
