In this context, ATREE’s Baiga Chak team conducted a training programme for Forest Department staff of Samnapur and Bajag Ranges on 27th May 2024. The training was focused on the main steps of CFR claim-making, the role of the Forest Department staff in the joint verification of claims, and the process of checking documents at the SDLC level. Methods of calculation of CFR area in revenue villages and forest villages, and when and where GPS mapping is required was discussed in detail. Dr. Sharad Lele, Mohit Mahajan (District FRA Coordinator), and Balram Padoti (Senior FRA Coordinator) conducted the training.
