Forest Rights Act Training Workshop for WWF and NIWCYD (MP) at Samnapur

ATREE’s Baiga Chak team conducted a training workshop on the Forest Rights Act and Community Forest Resource (CFR) Rights at Samnapur, Dindori, on 19 February 2024. Participants (20) included field staff from the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the National Institute of Women, Child & Youth Development (NIWCYD).  

Sessions covered historical injustices, key FRA provisions, differences between Community and CFR rights, and mapping techniques. Participants learned to use ATREE’s WEBGIS for land records and CFR claim-making. The workshop concluded with a detailed presentation on claim procedures and necessary formats.
