Content creation workshop for adivasi youth in bhopal, MP

A free three-day residential “Adivasi Awaaz Training” program, organized in collaboration with ATREE & Parmeshwaram Research and Development Foundation (PRDF) and ALM, was successfully conducted from June 24 to June 26, 2026, at “ Samarthan Center Bhopal”.

The objective of the training was to equip Adivasi youth with skills in media, communication, and digital content creation so that they can effectively present their communities, cultures, traditional ecological knowledge, and issues related to forests and biodiversity conservation. During the training, participants received hands-on learning in storytelling, videography, photography, video editing, article writing, script writing, and content creation.

The training began with an introductory session led by Nitesh Mahto, the key resource person. He engaged participants in discussions on Community identity and its significance. He also shared insights into various social media platforms, explaining which types of content are best suited for different platforms and how creators can effectively reach their target audiences. Nitesh further conducted sessions on script writing and effective storytelling techniques. He explained how a well-crafted script can make content more impactful and engaging.

Yogesh Nareti and Tongpang interacted with participants and facilitated meaningful discussions on various social issues. They encouraged participants to better understand society and develop a more sensitive approach to storytelling by engaging with elders from villages. Satyam Srivastava and Mohit Mahajan from ATREE interacted with the participants, explaining the importance of documenting traditional knowledge and practices for biodiversity conservation.

In addition, Yogesh Tekam provided detailed training on photography, videography, poster making, digital design, and effective content presentation. Throughout the program, Yogesh Nareti, Yogesh Tekam and Tongpang Kumzuk played key roles in coordinating the training and continuously supporting the participants.

The training brought together participants from 7 districts of Madhya Pradesh. In total, around 40 Adivasi youths took part in the program, making it an important platform for dialogue, learning, and networking among Adivasi youth.
