Two-day workshop on CFRR: Legal technical aspects and claim-making process

A two-day workshop on Community Forest Resource Rights was held on the campus of Samaj Pragati Sahayog in Dewas. Mohit Mahajan from ATREE served as the main resource person for the workshop, which aimed to build the conceptual and procedural understanding of field staff working in the Dewas and Khargone districts. The workshop started with a two-way discussion on the history and current status of Community Forest Rights in Madhya Pradesh, with the Nimar region in particular. The workshop progresses further with a session on types of community rights and the claim-making process, along with group activities on day one. The second day commenced with a session on understanding maps and records of forest and revenue lands. The workshop concluded with feedback sharing and a planning exercise for CFR claim-making work in Dewas.
