Talk on Forests, Climate Change and Good Governance

Dr Sharachchandra Lele gave a talk on “Forests, Climate Change and Good Governance” at the National-Level Workshop on “Towards Climate Resilience and Ecological Integrity: National Priorities for COP 30” organized by Futurearth South Asia Hub in Bengaluru on October 14-15, 2025. He highlighted the importance of resolving core governance and justice issues in the forest sector in order to ensure that both forest carbon sequestration and forest-based climate adaptation are effective and synergistic with livelihood needs and biodiversity conservation.
