Two-day training workshop on claim-making for Community Forest Resource Rights (CFRR), Mawai (MP)

ATREE organized a two-day workshop on Community Forest Resource (CFR) Rights at Mawai, Mandla district, on 16-17 February 2024. 50 participants, including volunteers from Mulnivasi Seva Samiti and Adim Navjagriti Seva Sansthan, along with Forest Rights Committee members from Mawai and Bichhiya blocks, attended. 

Sessions covered the Forest Rights Act (FRA), claim-making, mapping, and ATREE’s Aamcho CFR app. Discussions focused on challenges in Forest Villages, Baiga Chak’s pilot efforts, and FRA implementation. The workshop concluded with talks on NTFP trade and strengthening forest livelihoods. Participants requested ATREE’s continued support.
